Flame cutting
With oxy-fuel cutting technology, we are able to cut simple shapes and entire sheet metal sections precisely and efficiently. This proven method is ideal for processing steel sheets up to 100 mm thick and is particularly advantageous when it comes to robust and large-format workpieces. In contrast to waterjet cutting, which works without thermal influences on the material, oxy-fuel cutting creates a so-called heat-affected zone (HAZ) due to its high temperatures. Changes in the material structure occur in this zone.
These structural changes are a natural part of the thermal cutting process, as the cutting process in oxy-fuel cutting is carried out by controlled combustion of the material. Mechanical post-processing is necessary to eliminate the heat-affected zone afterwards.
